International Orange Aerospace reproduces a colour standardised for military use, part of a tradition of official camouflage and equipment-colour references developed through the 20th century so that allied forces, and later manufacturers, could match paint consistently across different vehicles and equipment.

International Orange Aerospace is a lacquer paint that is engineered specifically for airbrush application. Its fine micro-pigmentation is optimised for 1:18, 1:20, 1:24 and 1:43 scales, preventing heavy paint buildup over delicate body lines, engraved panel gaps and carbon-fibre weave detail. The paint comes pre-thinned and ready to spray, giving smooth atomisation straight out of the bottle.

💡 Laboratory Application Tips

• Preparation (Primer): A Pink or White Primer is highly recommended. Because red and orange pigments are naturally translucent, a bright, uniform base ensures maximum colour saturation and prevents the paint from losing its original brilliance.
• Painting Technique: Apply in thin, wet-yet-controlled coats with slightly overlapping passes. Because lacquer levels itself as it flashes off, thin layers build density without hiding fine surface detail or creating an orange-peel texture.
• Finishing: A dedicated Gloss, Satin or Matte Clearcoat, matched to the real vehicle's factory sheen, should be applied afterwards to protect the colour coat and seal any decals before final polishing.

Real Scale vs. Miniature: This formula is adjusted to counter the "scale effect," so light reflection on the miniature stays proportional to the real vehicle or object rather than looking artificially pale or dark.
