Warranty Policy

3.1 Legal warranty

• All products are covered by a 2-year legal conformity warranty under applicable Portuguese and EU consumer law (Decree-Law No. 67/2003, updated by Decree-Law No. 84/2021).
• The warranty covers manufacturing defects or non-conformities that affect normal use, reported within the warranty period.

3.2 Your rights

If a covered defect is confirmed, you have the right to:

• Free repair;
• Replacement of the product;
• Adequate price reduction; or
• Contract cancellation and refund, if the problem cannot be solved in a reasonable time.

3.3 Your responsibilities

To benefit from warranty service, you must:

• Keep and present the invoice or valid proof of purchase.
• Report the issue as soon as you notice it.
• Use the product correctly.
  The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, unauthorised modification/repair, or normal wear of consumable parts (for example airbrush nozzles, needles, seals).

3.4 How to request warranty support

1. Identify the problem and confirm it is not caused by misuse.
2. Email our support team at geral@firescalemodeler.com with:
   • Order number;
   • Detailed description of the issue;
   • Photos or video if possible.
3. We analyse the case and reply (with next steps such as repair, replacement or refund).
4. If needed, you will be asked to ship the item to us: Fire Scale Modeler

   Portugal Initial shipping to us is paid by the customer. If we confirm a manufacturing defect, return shipping costs are reimbursed. 

3.5 What is not covered

The warranty does not apply in cases of:

• Misuse, negligence, drops, impact, moisture, etc.;
• Normal wear and tear (consumables);
• Products opened or repaired by non-authorised parties;
• Any modification made by the customer. 

3.6 Dispute resolution

If you are not satisfied with the proposed solution, you can escalate through official consumer dispute channels, such as Portuguese consumer arbitration centres, the national online complaints platform, or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
