About Us

Fire Scale Modeler prepares colours for scale modellers. Every colour is mixed and bottled by hand in our atelier in Torres Vedras, Portugal, and shipped to modellers in Europe and around the world.

Born on a workbench

Fire Scale Modeler did not start in an office. It started at the workbench, with a simple need: the right colour for the model in front of us. As modellers, we struggled to find car colours that matched the real thing and sprayed well through an airbrush. So we started preparing them ourselves.

What we do

• Colours prepared for modellers. We start from the manufacturer's paint code and prepare each colour for scale models. Every order is mixed and bottled by hand.
• Koloi Aqua. Our own water-based acrylic range, with more than 2000 colours: car colours, RAL, classic model colours, metallics, pearls and candies, plus Primer and Clear to complete the system.
• Custom colours. If the colour you need is not in the catalogue, send us the code and we prepare it for you, in a bottle or a spray can.
• Our own designs. We are also developing our own model kits, figures and dioramas, designed and 3D printed in resin in our atelier.

Our promise

1. Colour accuracy. For a car modeller, red is never just red. We start from the official manufacturer code and compare with real references whenever we can.
2. Ready to spray. Koloi Aqua colours come ready for the airbrush, no thinning needed, and our application guides show you how to get the best from them.
3. Careful packing. Every order is packed to arrive intact and shipped with tracking.
4. If something goes wrong, we fix it. A leaking bottle or a lost parcel: write to us and we will sort it out, with a replacement or a refund.
5. We listen. Your requests shape our catalogue. If a colour is missing, tell us.

Who is behind it

Fire Scale Modeler is a small, independent business founded by Marco Teodoro. When you write to us, you talk to the person who prepares your colours, not to a call centre.
