Team Grifone Rally Beige. Met is a metallic-flake colour designed to replicate the light-catching depth of a real automotive metallic finish. Unlike a flat solid colour, metallics shift subtly in tone depending on the light and viewing angle, which is part of what makes them so convincing at scale.

Team Grifone Rally Beige. Met is an aerosol spray paint that is supplied ready-to-use in a pressurised can, formulated for even coverage across larger surfaces. It suits 1:8, 1:10 and 1:12 R/C bodies and larger static models, as well as full-size hobby and DIY respray work where a fine airbrush cartridge would run out too quickly. Metal flake settles unevenly if sprayed too wet, so slightly drier, well-atomised passes keep the flake orientation even across the surface.

💡 Laboratory Application Tips

• Preparation (Primer): A Black or dark Grey Primer is recommended for metallics: a dark base deepens the metal flake and gives the finish the same three-dimensional depth seen on the real vehicle, rather than a flat, chalky sheen.
• Painting Technique: Shake the can thoroughly for at least a minute, then spray in light, even passes from roughly 20-30cm, keeping the can moving to avoid pooling. Several thin coats give better coverage and a smoother finish than one heavy pass.
• Finishing: Allow full curing time between coats and before clearcoating; aerosol lacquers can stay workable for longer than airbrushed paint, so patience at this stage avoids solvent wrinkling later.
