White Textured Design reproduces a textured, protective finish of the kind used on real off-road, military and industrial equipment, where a rough, grippy surface resists chipping and improves handling in the field. On a scale model it adds a tactile, non-scale-effect surface that reads convincingly as rugged, functional coating rather than a smooth paint job.
White Textured Design is a lacquer paint that is engineered specifically for airbrush application. Its fine micro-pigmentation is optimised for 1:18, 1:20, 1:24 and 1:43 scales, preventing heavy paint buildup over delicate body lines, engraved panel gaps and carbon-fibre weave detail. The paint comes pre-thinned and ready to spray, giving smooth atomisation straight out of the bottle. The textured additive is pre-mixed in the bottle, so a gentle but thorough shake before use keeps the grain consistent across the whole surface.
💡 Laboratory Application Tips
- Preparation (Primer): A Pink or White Primer is highly recommended. Because red and orange pigments are naturally translucent, a bright, uniform base ensures maximum colour saturation and prevents the paint from losing its original brilliance.
- Painting Technique: Apply in thin, wet-yet-controlled coats with slightly overlapping passes. Because lacquer levels itself as it flashes off, thin layers build density without hiding fine surface detail or creating an orange-peel texture.
- Finishing: A dedicated Gloss, Satin or Matte Clearcoat, matched to the real vehicle's factory sheen, should be applied afterwards to protect the colour coat and seal any decals before final polishing.
