Portuguese Navy Light Grey 400ml

Gama de colores

Descripción

🔥 Serious modelers standardise on colours they can trust. Portuguese Navy Light Grey 400ml is formulated for predictable coverage and true colour rendering, so every session ends with a finish you're proud to display.

Portuguese Navy Light Grey reproduces a colour standardised for military use, part of a tradition of official camouflage and equipment-colour references developed through the 20th century so that allied forces, and later manufacturers, could match paint consistently across different vehicles and equipment.

Portuguese Navy Light Grey is an aerosol spray paint that is supplied ready-to-use in a pressurised can, formulated for even coverage across larger surfaces. It suits 1:8, 1:10 and 1:12 R/C bodies and larger static models, as well as full-size hobby and DIY respray work where a fine airbrush cartridge would run out too quickly.

💡 Laboratory Application Tips

  • Preparation (Primer): A White Primer is recommended for this light tone, giving the pigment a clean, uniform base so the true colour reads correctly instead of appearing dull or uneven over a darker surface.
  • Painting Technique: Shake the can thoroughly for at least a minute, then spray in light, even passes from roughly 20-30cm, keeping the can moving to avoid pooling. Several thin coats give better coverage and a smoother finish than one heavy pass.
  • Finishing: Allow full curing time between coats and before clearcoating; aerosol lacquers can stay workable for longer than airbrushed paint, so patience at this stage avoids solvent wrinkling later.

⚠️ Chromatic Fidelity Notes

Real Scale vs. Miniature: This formula is adjusted to counter the "scale effect," so light reflection on the miniature stays proportional to the real vehicle or object rather than looking artificially pale or dark.

Visual note: Product photos are for reference only. The full three-dimensional depth and true pigment brilliance only become visible once the model is painted and properly clearcoated.

👉 Add Portuguese Navy Light Grey 400ml to your cart — our modelers keep coming back to this colour because it simply performs, coat after coat, build after build.
