Fluo Yellow Spray is a fluorescent colour, the kind of high-visibility tone used on rescue vehicles, safety equipment and the bold rally and racing liveries of the 1980s and 90s that needed to stand out in any light. Fluorescent pigments are inherently more transparent than standard pigments, which is why the base coat underneath matters so much to the final result.

Fluo Yellow Spray is an aerosol spray paint that is supplied ready-to-use in a pressurised can, formulated for even coverage across larger surfaces. It suits 1:8, 1:10 and 1:12 R/C bodies and larger static models, as well as full-size hobby and DIY respray work where a fine airbrush cartridge would run out too quickly.

💡 Laboratory Application Tips

• Preparation (Primer): A bright White Primer is required to unlock the pigment's full fluorescence; applied over grey or dark primers, fluorescent pigments lose most of their intensity and read as a dull, washed-out version of the colour.
• Painting Technique: Shake the can thoroughly for at least a minute, then spray in light, even passes from roughly 20-30cm, keeping the can moving to avoid pooling. Several thin coats give better coverage and a smoother finish than one heavy pass.
• Finishing: Allow full curing time between coats and before clearcoating; aerosol lacquers can stay workable for longer than airbrushed paint, so patience at this stage avoids solvent wrinkling later.

Real Scale vs. Miniature: This formula is adjusted to counter the "scale effect," so light reflection on the miniature stays proportional to the real vehicle or object rather than looking artificially pale or dark.
