🚶 Professional Step-by-Step Process

1. Surface Preparation

Begin by applying a high-quality black base coat to ensure a uniform surface.

2. The Foundation of Shine (Critical Step)

Apply the Black Gloss 2K FSC738 (follow the instructions on the label) ).

• Curing Time: Allow it to dry in an oven (1-2 hours at 50ºC) or air-dry (24-72 hours).
• Expert Tip: It is vital that this base is completely hardened and crystallized before proceeding. The smoother and glossier this foundation is, the more intense the mirror reflection will be.

3. Chrome Application

Use the product pure, without any mixing or thinning.

• Pressure Settings: Adjust your airbrush or spray gun to 1.5bar or 2 bar (approx. 21 or 29 PSI).
• Technique: Apply in several very fine layers. Ensure the flow is adjusted to deliver more air than product to prevent pigment accumulation and maintain a sharp, clear reflection.

4. Drying and Final Polish

Allow the chrome to dry completely (20 min at 50ºC or 24 hours air-dry). Once dry, gently wipe the surface with a soft microfiber cloth to remove any loose pigment residue.

5. Protection & Clear Coating (Optional)

If the part will be handled frequently, apply the Varnish Chrome 2K (mixed at 20% with catalyst) in two thin coats.

• Note: Applying any clear coat over chrome may slightly reduce the original mirror intensity.

6. Custom "Candy" Finishes

For unique looks, you can apply tinted Candy varnishes or Color Metal Fire Scale Modeler over the Chrome to create colored chrome (blue, red, gold, etc.) while retaining the metallic depth.

• Patience is Key: Never apply Chrome over a 2K base that is still "soft." Total crystallization is what enables the 90% mirror finish.
