Formulated directly from the original OEM formula, this premium water-based acrylic delivers an authentic Multi-layer / Chromaflair Pearl finish. Engineered with laboratory-adjusted micro-pigments specifically tailored for 1:24, 1:18, and 1:12 scales, it eliminates the over-scaled metallic flake effect typical of standard automotive paints on scale models. Pre-thinned and ready for airbrush use, it provides smooth atomization, consistent leveling, and high opacity without damaging plastic or resin components.

💡 Laboratory Application Tips

• Surface Preparation (Primer): Apply a base coat using FSW287 - Primer Black, essential for providing the dark foundation required for Chromaflair pigments to fully express their color-shifting spectrum.
• Spraying Technique: Spray in light, progressive, and crossed coats at 18–22 psi. Build coverage gradually without flooding the surface to achieve optimal pigment alignment and shift.
• Topcoat: Clearcoating is essential to activate depth and seal the model. Apply 2K Gloss VFC002 (or 1K Gloss VFC005) for an authentic, ultra-gloss automotive mirror shine and decal protection. For satin or matte applications, choose 2K Satin VFC006 / Matt VFC001 (or 1K Satin VFC004 / Matt VFC003).

Full Scale vs. Scale Model: This formula has been calibrated to compensate for the "scale effect," ensuring light refraction remains true to scale. However, with specialized optical interference/Chromaflair pigments, the microscopic flake structure cannot be milled down indefinitely without collapsing its light-bending properties. The formulation achieves the finest possible balance between miniature scale precision and authentic color shifting.
