Rustic Earth is built around a clean, uniform pigment base rather than a metallic or pearlescent additive, giving it the flat, consistent coverage typical of factory solid-colour finishes on real vehicles and machinery.

Rustic Earth is a brush-on acrylic colour that is formulated for hand-brushing directly from the pot, with a pigment load tuned for 1:35, 1:48 and 1:72 figures and small detail areas where an airbrush would be impractical. It self-levels well, reducing visible brush strokes on smaller surfaces.

💡 Laboratory Application Tips

• Preparation (Primer): A Black or Grey Primer works best under this dark tone, reinforcing depth and helping the colour reach full density in fewer coats.
• Painting Technique: Load the brush lightly and apply in thin, multiple layers rather than one thick coat; letting each layer dry fully between passes avoids visible brush marks and keeps fine details, like faces and uniform trim, crisp.
