RAL Classic is the colour-matching standard created in Germany in 1927 to give industry a single, unambiguous colour reference independent of brand or manufacturer. It remains the default specification for commercial vehicles, machinery, road signage and military equipment across Europe, which is why so many real-world trucks, tractors, trailers and armoured vehicles carry an official RAL code rather than a manufacturer-specific paint name. Ral 2010 Signal orange is a lacquer paint that is engineered specifically for airbrush application. - Preparation (Primer): A Pink or White Primer is highly recommended. Because red and orange pigments are naturally translucent, a bright, uniform base ensures maximum colour saturation and prevents the paint from losing its original brilliance.
- Painting Technique: Apply in thin, wet-yet-controlled coats with slightly overlapping passes. Because lacquer levels itself as it flashes off, thin layers build density without hiding fine surface detail or creating an orange-peel texture.
- Finishing: A dedicated Gloss, Satin or Matte Clearcoat, matched to the real vehicle's factory sheen, should be applied afterwards to protect the colour coat and seal any decals before final polishing.
