Neutral Grey Primer
Description
Neutral Grey Primer: the all-round base
If you only keep one primer on the bench, make it this one. Neutral Grey is a balanced mid grey that shows every scratch, sink mark and filler line before you paint, and sits well under most solid colours, from mid blues and greens to greys, silvers and mid-tone reds.
Why prime
Primer gives the colour coat something to grip, reveals sanding marks and filler before you paint, and gives an even tone underneath so the colour reads correctly. Koloi Aqua Primer is the first step of the Koloi Aqua system: primer, colour and clear designed to work together.
How to apply
- Clean the parts with warm water and a drop of detergent, rinse and let them dry completely.
- Shake the bottle for at least 60 seconds.
- Airbrush straight from the bottle with a 0.3–0.4 mm nozzle at around 20 PSI (1.4 bar), in light, even coats.
- Let the primer dry fully, then lightly smooth any dust with very fine abrasive before applying colour.
- Clean the airbrush with water before the primer dries.
Why modelers choose Koloi Aqua
- Ready to spray: no guessing thinning ratios, the same result from every bottle
- Cleans up with water, so there are no strong solvent fumes at the bench
- Thin, fine film that keeps panel lines and small detail crisp
- One system: primer, colour and clear designed to work together
Shelf life
Estimated shelf life of more than 12 months when stored tightly closed between +10 °C and +28 °C, away from frost and direct sunlight. Shake well before use; if the primer has thickened or separated and does not remix, do not use it.
