3D Printing Terms
3D PRINTING SERVICE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Nature of the Service Fire Scale Modeler provides a "Print on Demand" service (Service Bureau). Our liability is limited to the physical production of the digital file provided by the client, using high-resolution Resin (SLA) technology. We do not perform 3D modeling, design, or file repair services unless previously agreed upon and quoted separately.
2. Files and Liability
Integrity: The client is entirely responsible for the technical viability of the submitted file (wall thickness, watertight mesh, geometry).
Failures: If printing fails due to machine error or power outage, Fire Scale Modeler assumes the cost of reprinting. If printing fails due to errors in the client's digital file (e.g., walls too thin that break during printing), reprinting will be charged.
Repair Fee: The client may choose to fix the file themselves (at no cost) or request technical repair from Fire Scale Modeler. This design/repair service is not included in the printing quote and is charged at €30.00 per hour (with a minimum charge of 30 minutes per intervention).
Intellectual Property: The client declares that they own the reproduction rights to the submitted file or that it is public domain/royalty-free. Fire Scale Modeler refuses to reproduce material that obviously violates copyright laws or is offensive.
3. Finish and Quality
Supports: Parts are printed with structural supports. These are manually removed by our team before shipping. However, it is normal for small marks (contact points) to remain on the surface of the part.
Preparation: The client acknowledges that, just like a traditional plastic or resin modeling kit, 3D printed parts may require light sanding and preparation (primer) before painting.
Tolerances: Although SLA printing is high-precision, slight dimensional variations may occur due to the natural shrinkage of the resin (<1%).
4. Orders and Payments
Minimum Order: The service has a minimum order value of €15.00 (excluding shipping costs).
Payment: As this is a custom service impossible to resell to third parties, production begins only after 100% of the quoted value has been paid.
Cancellation: Cancellations or returns are not accepted once the printing process has started.
5. Shipping and Transport Resin parts are fragile. Fire Scale Modeler commits to packaging items with maximum protection. We are not responsible for damage caused by negligent handling by the carrier. We highly recommend choosing registered/tracked shipping methods.
6. Production Turnaround Time
Estimated Time: The average production time is 5 business days, starting from the payment confirmation date.
Queue: Orders are processed on a "First In, First Out" basis. During periods of high volume, the lead time may be extended, and the client will be informed in advance.
Technical Unforeseens: Given the nature of 3D printing, technical failures may occur requiring the printing process to be repeated. If this affects the delivery deadline, Fire Scale Modeler will notify the client immediately.
Rush Fee: Orders requiring a deadline shorter than stipulated ("Urgent") may be accepted upon analysis, subject to a 25% Rush Fee on the total quote value.
