RAL 3033 Pearl Pink: Warm pink with a light-catching pearl

RAL 3033 Pearl Pink is a warm pink with a pearlescent effect that catches the light as the surface curves. Part of the RAL Classic pearl range, it is used in design, shop fittings, signage and architecture. In scale it suits custom cars, motorcycles, helmets and fantasy builds, as well as contemporary show models that need something out of the ordinary. Seal it under a gloss clear coat to bring out the full effect. A white primer keeps it bright and warm.

The problem with pearls

Pearl effects show every mistake: wet passes cluster the pearl into blotches, and uneven coats change the colour from panel to panel. Controlled, even, slightly drier passes give a smooth, consistent shimmer.

How to apply

1. Shake the bottle for at least 60 seconds.
2. Prime with a white primer and let it dry fully.
3. Airbrush straight from the bottle, no thinning needed. Use a 0.2–0.4 mm nozzle at around 20 PSI (1.4 bar) and apply light, cross-hatched coats, letting each one flash off before the next.
4. Keep the airbrush moving at a constant distance for an even effect.
5. Let the paint cure overnight before masking or clear-coating.
6. Seal with a water-based clear coat: gloss for a factory shine, or satin or matte for work vehicles and interiors.
7. Clean the airbrush with water before the paint dries.

Shelf life

Estimated shelf life of more than 12 months when stored tightly closed between +10 °C and +28 °C, away from frost and direct sunlight. Shake well before use; if the paint has thickened or separated and does not remix, do not use it.
